Lipids of Human Platelets and Their Action on the Blood Coagulation Process.

چکیده
M ANY WORKERS have shown that phospholipids accelerate in vitro coagulation of blood. Recent advances in the methods of total lipid extraction13 and in chromatographic3’4 and countercurrent distribution5 technics for the separation of lipid classes have intensified interest in the identification of the specific lipid moieties of platelets which accelerate the blood coagulation process. In the past, investigations of platelet lipids have been limited to studies on the physiologic activity of the platelet phospholipid entities-namely phosphatidylethanolamine ( PE ) #{176} and phosphatidylserine ( PS ) ;641 j contrast, no information is available on the physiologic effects of isolated neutral lipid fractions on the blood coagulation process. The object of the present study was to fractionate total lipid extracts of human platelets into various lipid classes by chromatography and countercurrent distribution, and to determine the effects of these isolated lipid classes, both individually and in combination with one another, on the blood coagulation process.

In Vitro and in Vivo studies of the Effects of Cold Argon Plasma on Decreasing the Coagulation Time
Introduction Cold plasma is a self-sterilized, painless, and non-contact method in surgeries. These properties allow it to be applied to the living tissues and heat-sensitive parts. The aim of this study was to design a new cold plasma producer device and evaluate the effects of cold argon plasma on decreasing the coagulation time of blood drop in vitro and that of the injured liver blood in vi...

Platelets as cellular elements are the constituants of blood tissue and their main function is to participate in hemostatic processes. The glycocalyx which intimately surrounds the platelets contains a number of glycoproteins which are responsible for blood group specificity (ABO), tissue compatibility (human leukocyte antigen = HLA) , and platelet antigenicity. Platelets contain granules which...

Introduction: Cardiovascular disease is one of the most common diseases in the world. In this account, atherosclerosis is one of the main cause’s heart attacks. Coagulation activity of platelets plays an important role in atherosclerotic plaque formation, thrombosis formation and cardiovascular diseases. Aspirin is the most commonly drugs which used as anti-platelet function to prevent and trea...
متن کاملNonsense-mediated mRNA decay among coagulation factor genes
Objective(s): Haemostasis prevents blood loss following vascular injury. It depends on the unique concert of events involving platelets and specific blood proteins, known as coagulation factors. The clotting system requires precise regulation and coordinated reactions to maintain the integrity of the vasculature. Clotting insufficiency mostly occurs due to genetically inherited coagulation fact...
متن کاملThe Effect of Resistance Training with Two Maximum and Sub-maximal Intensities on Leukocytes and Blood Coagulation Factors in Non-Athlete Men: A Clinical Trial Study
Background and Objectives: The effects of maximal and sub-maximal resistance exercise on leukocytes and coagulator factors is ambiguous. Therefore the purpose of the present study was to determine the effect of maximum and sub-maximal resistance training intensities on leukocytes and blood coagulation factors in non-athlete men. Materials and Methods: In this clinical trial study,...
